Job summary

Lectra is seeking a Field Service Engineer for the South Africa region, based in Cape Town. You will ensure high-quality service delivery, perform preventive maintenance, installations, and customer training while solving technical issues in collaboration with expert teams.

The role requires strong electronics/electrical/mechanical knowledge, English and French, and will involve extensive domestic and international travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics, electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of field engineering experience servicing complex electro‑mechanical devices.
• Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, Oracle, Windows OS and network fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Promote and perform Lectra's preventive maintenance and audits.
• Carry out installation, audits and field maintenance of equipment.
• Provide customer training on CAM application and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues and generate reports.
• Collaborate with the Expertise Center and document activities.
