Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service the Paarl region. In this hands-on role you will install, commission, maintain and repair specialized industrial machinery at client sites, ensuring optimal performance and rapid issue resolution.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems, interpret manuals and schematics, and provide on-site training and support to customer operators while keeping detailed service reports. Travel within the territory is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Field Service Engineer or similar technical role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and drawings.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
