Job summary

Our client is seeking an experienced External Sales Representative for a 6-month contract in Ekurhuleni. You will generate new business, manage customer relationships and deliver technical sales solutions across pumps, dewatering systems, slurry pumps, dredging equipment and rental solutions.

You will service mining, agricultural and industrial sectors, requiring a strong mix of technical knowledge, sales ability and business development experience. Travel and site visits are expected.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary technical qualification is essential.
• Experience in external sales in mining/agricultural/industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of pumps and dewatering equipment.
• Proven new business development and account management experience.
• Willingness to travel extensively and hold a valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and pursue new business opportunities within mining, agricultural and industrial sectors.
• Promote and sell pumps, dewatering equipment, dredging solutions and rental services.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to grow market share and expand customer base.
• Generate leads through prospecting, networking, referrals and industry engagement.
• Conduct regular customer visits to identify requirements and recommend solutions.
• Follow up on quotations and proposals to close deals; meet sales targets.
