Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a reliable Field Maintenance Specialist to operate across Upington and surrounding sites. You will perform routine inspections, carry out maintenance, and address on-site technical issues to keep equipment operating at peak performance.

The role requires strong hands-on skills, safety compliance, and the ability to log maintenance actions and communicate clearly with clients. You will travel to client sites and contribute to service excellence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a field maintenance or technical repair role.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret technical manuals.
• Good problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to repairs.
• Excellent time management and ability to work independently.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure longevity and prevent breakdowns.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on-site.
• Respond to urgent service requests and provide timely and effective solutions.
• Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures during service calls.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding the status of maintenance and repairs.
