Placements24 is seeking an experienced Field Maintenance Engineer to service operations in Klerksdorp. You will perform scheduled maintenance, diagnose complex on-site issues, and implement preventive programs to maximize uptime and efficiency.

The role requires a mechanical or electrical engineering degree and at least 3 years of field experience, with the ability to travel within the region and work autonomously in diverse sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of field maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and CMMS software.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and testing of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on-site.
• Implement predictive and preventative maintenance programs to identify and address potential failures.
• Read and interpret blueprints , schematics, and technical manuals to guide repair procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company standards during maintenance activities.
• Maintain detailed service logs and report on equipment condition and maintenance history.
