Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Farm Labour Supervisor to lead and coordinate farm staff on a North West farm near Mahikeng. You will assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure safety and efficiency across planting, cultivation, harvesting, and maintenance.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly, motivates a diverse team, and upholds health, safety and environmental standards while maintaining basic labour records and supporting on-farm training.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably within the agricultural sector.
• Good understanding of general farming practices and crop cycles.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Basic knowledge of farm safety procedures and equipment handling.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of farm labourers, assigning tasks and ensuring their efficient completion.
• Train new farmhands on proper techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
• Monitor work quality and productivity, providing guidance and feedback as needed.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the farm.
• Maintain basic records of labour hours, tasks performed, and materials used.
