Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Farm Supervisor to join our agricultural team in Tembisa. The role oversees daily farm operations, guides a team of farm workers, and ensures cultivation plans are executed efficiently to meet production goals.

You will monitor crop and livestock health, manage equipment maintenance, and uphold safety protocols while contributing to a reputable farming enterprise. On-site accommodation may be provided for essential personnel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Farm Supervisor or similar agricultural role.
• Knowledge of crop cultivation, pest management, and animal husbandry.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of farm workers.
• Knowledge of farm equipment operation and maintenance.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily tasks of farm laborers.
• Ensure proper implementation of planting, cultivation, irrigation, and harvesting schedules.
• Monitor the health of crops and livestock, reporting any issues to management.
• Maintain farm equipment and machinery, ensuring they are in good working order.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols on the farm.
• Assist in the record-keeping of farm yields, supplies, and labor hours.
