Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Agriculture with significant experience
• Minimum 5 years in farm management or similar supervisory role
• Knowledge of crop science, soil management, pests and irrigation techniques
• Experience with farm machinery operation and maintenance
• Strong leadership and staff supervision skills
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities
• Proficiency with farm management software and record-keeping systems

Responsabilités

• Develop crop production plans including planting, fertilization, pest management and harvests.
• Oversee land prep, irrigation, machinery maintenance and labor management.
• Lead and motivate farm workers; allocate tasks; provide training; enforce safety.
• Monitor crop growth, health and yield; implement corrective actions to maximize output.
• Control costs and manage the farm budget; seek efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations, environmental and food safety standards.
• Maintain detailed records of farm activities and financial transactions.
• Promote sustainable farming practices to conserve resources.
• Liaise with suppliers, agronomists, and professionals for inputs and support.
