About the Role

Our client is seeking an energetic and responsible Farm Labour Supervisor to oversee daily operations and manage staff within their poultry farming facility located in Soweto. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient execution of feeding, cleaning, health monitoring, and general care of the poultry. You will be directly responsible for the productivity and well-being of the farm's livestock through effective team management and adherence to best practices in poultry farming in the Gauteng region. This is a hands-on supervisory role requiring dedication and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily tasks of farm labourers involved in poultry care, including feeding, watering, and sanitation.
• Ensure all aspects of poultry management are carried out according to established protocols and quality standards.
• Monitor the health and welfare of the birds, reporting any concerns or abnormalities to the farm manager promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and biosecurity standards throughout the poultry houses and surrounding areas.
• Assist in the training of new farm workers, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
• Maintain records related to feed consumption, mortality rates, and medication administration.

Requirements

• Previous experience (2+ years) in farm supervision, preferably within poultry operations or livestock management.
