Marvel Placement Consultants is seeking an experienced Operations/Factory Manager in Roodepoort, South Africa. You will oversee daily factory operations, production planning, scheduling, safety, and continuous improvement to meet targets.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and cost-monitoring abilities, with responsibility for procurement, stock control, and warehouse activities. You will report to management and ensure compliance with regulations and PoPI.

Qualifications

• Experience in factory management or production operations.
• Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and output management.
• Experience with raw material procurement and stock control.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Experience conducting safety inspections and risk mitigation.
• Ability to monitor production performance and costs.
• Experience overseeing warehouse activities and stock receipt.
• Ability to liaise with management and provide regular reports.

Responsabilités

• Manage daily factory operations and production targets.
• Plan and coordinate production schedules according to demand.
• Ensure schedules meet quality and safety requirements.
• Monitor capacity, productivity, labour utilisation and output.
• Identify bottlenecks and reduce downtime.
• Utilise machinery, labour, materials efficiently.
• Drive continuous improvement to boost productivity and reduce waste.
• Oversee procurement of raw materials and consumables.
• Maintain supplier lists and relationships to reduce wastage.
• Ensure maintenance of factory machinery and facilities.
• Oversee security and premises opening/closing.
• Promote safety and ensure compliance with PoPI and regulations.
