Job summary

Marvel Placement Consultants seeks an experienced Factory/Operations Manager to oversee daily factory operations in Roodepoort, Gauteng. The role covers production planning, procurement, warehouse activities and site management to meet targets, uphold quality, safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has proven factory/manufacturing leadership experience, strong planning and organisational skills, and a track record of continuous improvement in production workflows and cost

Qualifications

• Experience in factory management and production operations.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling and workflow optimisation.
• Experience in raw material procurement, supplier relations and stock control.
• Knowledge of machinery, maintenance and general factory operations.
• Understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and implementation of safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily factory operations, including planning and achieving production targets.
• Coordinate production schedules aligned with demand and business goals.
• Monitor capacity, productivity, labour utilisation and costs to optimise efficiency.
• Oversee procurement of raw materials and consumables to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Maintain maintenance for machinery and facilities and ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure stock from containers is receipted, labelled and stored correctly.
• Provide regular reports on performance and operational challenges.
