Job summary

Persona Staff is recruiting a Factory Manager for a well-established manufacturing company in Cape Town Northern Suburbs. The role oversees all factory operations, driving production efficiency, quality assurance, and continuous improvement across fabrication, machining, assembly and finishing processes.

The successful candidate will lead teams, manage performance, plan production, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Production Management, Operations Management, or another relevant technical discipline.
• A Diploma or Postgraduate Qualification in Manufacturing/Operations/Engineering Management or MBA is an added advantage.
• Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Health & Safety Compliance, or Continuous Improvement methodologies are desirable.
• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant manufacturing experience, including leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all factory operations to ensure efficient production output.
• Manage daily performance across fabrication, machining, assembly and finishing processes.
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand and objectives.
• Ensure quality standards, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead workforce management, performance evaluations, and staff development.
• Coordinate with maintenance, procurement, engineering and supply chain teams.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to optimize productivity and cost.
• Drive lean initiatives, identify bottlenecks, and reduce waste.
