Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Facilities Manager position availablein Stellenbosch.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the overall wellbeing, safety and functionality of buildings within the portfolio.


• Conduct annual building condition assessments and identify maintenance, repair and renovation requirements.


• Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure services are completed on time.


• Ensure compliance with facilities management strategies, company policies and industry regulations.


• Manage service providers and contractors in line with SLAs and service contracts.


• Conduct regular property inspections and oversee maintenance, repairs and minor projects.


• Coordinate electrical, plumbing, structural and general building maintenance.


• Monitor work quality, job completion and contractor performance.


• Manage emergency preparedness, health and safety requirements and work permits.


• Prepare monthly reports covering tickets, OH&S, SLA performance, budgets and project progress.


• Manage CAPEX within budget and identify opportunities for cost and operational efficiencies.

Requirements:

• Grade 12.


• Tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Construction, Mechanical, Technical or Drafting.


• Project Management qualification advantageous.


• 3-5 years' relevant experience in commercial, retail or industrial facilities.


• Intermediate knowledge of building, mechanical, technical and soft services.


• Knowledge of soft services management and the OHS Act.


• Understanding of ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 standards.


• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and MDA.


• Strong supervisory, planning, scheduling and problem-solving skills.


• Proactive, organised, quality-focused and deadline-driven.


• Strong customer service, communication and relationship-building skills.


• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities.
