A leading retail and wholesale company is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and operation of buildings and equipment at their Centurion Distribution Centre. The ideal candidate will have a Tertiary Education in a relevant field and significant experience in facilities management. Key responsibilities include managing contractors, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining facilities. This role entails a dynamic work environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Junior/managerial position.
• 5 years experience in a Facilities Management Environment.
• 2 years experience in a distribution Centre/retail Environment.
• 2 years in a distribution centre/retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage company assets and a safe working environment at all sites.
• Control and manage all contractors/service providers.
• Ensure proper maintenance and repair of facilities on an ongoing basis.
• Manage staff performance, training, and reporting to the Department Head.
• Provide monthly facility reports and cost centre accountability.

Introduction

An exciting Facilities Superviso opportunity for overseeing the maintenance , operation of buildings, equipment, coordinate repairs, enforce safety measures, and manage a team of maintenance personne based at Centurion Distribution Centre. The role will report directly to the Facilities Manager.

Job Purpose: Effectively manage company assets. Provide a safe working environment at all sites. To control & manage all contractors/service providers service delivery, financial and contract compliance.This relates to the Centurion Distribution Centre.

Job Objectives:

• Effective management of Facilities, Contractors & Service Provider Staff and all resources and aspects relating to these departments at Centurion DC site
• Assist with the implementation of complete safety policies and committees in accordance with OHSAct
• Building and maintaining of process and procedures of each role within the department
• Ensure that facility is properly maintained and repaired on an ongoing basis
• Implement and maintain safety and security protocols to protect the facility and its occupants, including fire safety, emergancy preparedness and access control
• To ensure that Stakeholder communication is done effectively, internally and externally
• To implement a pro‑active land and building maintenance program
• Ensure accurate and up to date Databases are maintained Continuous improvement of the data captured, stored and reported
• Administration & Management of the Facilities and 4Me for services & facilities; in order to provide management with effective and accurate reporting
• Effective management and training of the staff
• KPA’s to be completed for all staff timeously, with indicated needs for training and development, performance management
• Ensure professional and efficient customer contact
• Provide monthly reports to the Department Head
• Cost Centre accountability and management
