Job summary

Bidvestfacilitiesmanagement is seeking a maintenance engineer to implement an effective maintenance system across client facilities and ensure SLA delivery. The role emphasizes planned, preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance, with focus on cost, quality, and safety compliance.

You will drive risk assessments, optimize resources, monitor performance of technicians and contractors, and support continuous improvement in FM services.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma with maintenance focus is required.
• Solid knowledge of maintenance engineering, CRM & property management.
• Proficient in MS Office and SAP knowledge.
• Familiarity with OHS Act and ISO 9001 Quality & Risk Management.
• Valid SA driver's license is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Drive timely execution of maintenance strategies: planned, preventative, corrective and emergency.
• Identify maintenance risks and work towards resolution.
• Implement HSE, Quality & Risk management systems per client needs.
• Ensure optimal resource utilization across maintenance works.
• Manage parts and spares delivery aligned with SLA requirements.
• Monitor contractor performance and take corrective actions as needed.
• Coach and develop technical staff; manage shift rosters and leave.
• Support continuous improvement in facilities management services.
