About the Role

Our client is searching for a proactive and experienced Facilities and Maintenance Engineer to oversee the operational integrity of their facilities in Nelspruit . This role is critical for ensuring that all plant equipment, infrastructure, and utilities are maintained to the highest standards, guaranteeing operational continuity and safety. You will manage maintenance schedules, lead troubleshooting efforts, and implement preventative maintenance programs. This position requires a practical, hands‑on approach and a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for all plant machinery and infrastructure.
• Manage and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance oversight.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, leading repair efforts to minimize downtime.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to facility operations.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering .
