Job summary

Bidvest Facilities Management is looking for a maintenance specialist to implement an effective maintenance system within customer facilities and ensure SLA delivery. You will identify risks, drive timely maintenance execution, and manage contractors, parts, and minor projects to keep facilities compliant and running smoothly.

The role requires Matric, SA driving license, 3–5 years of maintenance experience, and proficiency in MS Office and SAP.

Qualifications

• Matric with relevant maintenance background required.
• Experience in building maintenance and contractor management.
• Knowledge of OHS Act, ISO 9001 and risk management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify maintenance risks on Client's property and equipment for evaluation and resolution.
• Drive timeous execution of maintenance strategies including planned, preventative, corrective and emergency work.
• Ensure optimum utilization of resources across maintenance tasks.
• Ensure timely delivery and availability of parts and spares.
• Manage 3rd party contractors and oversee minor projects.

Key Performance Areas

• Identify maintenance risks on Client's property and equipment for evaluation and resolution
• Drive timeous execution of effective maintenance strategies i.e. planned, preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance
• Ensure optimum utilization of available resources in various maintenance works
• Ensure timely delivery and appropriateness of parts and spares for effective maintenance execution
• Manage 3rd party contractors
• Plan and execute minor projects

Minimum Requirements

• Technical / General building maintenance / Contractor Management / HSE
• Matric (Senior Certificate)
• Valid SA Driver's License
• 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience
• Strong Administrative / planning / organizational skills
• Stock Control
• Must be computer literate.
• Building maintenance / Stocktaking
• MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Project & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level), SAP knowledge
