Job summary

Network Recruitment seeks an experienced Engineering & Facilities Manager to oversee operations at a Cape Town site, including building maintenance, grounds and asset protection.

You will manage budgets, capital projects, preventative maintenance, energy conservation and regulatory compliance while leading emergency response and enhancing guest and staff satisfaction through clear communication and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in engineering/maintenance or related professional area; HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing training.
• 2-year degree with 2 years experience in engineering/maintenance or related professional area; HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing training.

Responsibilities

• Manages the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems.
• Ensures regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards.
• Manages and controls heat, light and power and recommends energy conservation and economical facility operations.
• Develops specifications and requirements for service contracts and administers such contracts to support building needs.
• Distributes preventive maintenance and repair work orders and monitors timeliness and quality of completion.
• Oversees and directs the maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public space, restaurants, property vehicles and recreational facilities.
