Placements24 is seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer with a focus on production operations to join our client in Paarl. You will oversee design, installation, maintenance and integrity of production facilities in the Oil & Gas sector, ensuring safe and efficient operation and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include managing facility lifecycle, implementing maintenance strategies, and guiding capital projects.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of facilities engineering experience in oil & gas production operations.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Facilities Engineer with a specialization in production operations to join their team in Paarl . This role involves overseeing the design, installation, maintenance, and integrity of production facilities essential for the Oil & Gas sector. You will ensure that all facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards, playing a critical role in supporting the company's production targets and asset management strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of production facilities, from conceptual design through to decommissioning.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies, including preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Oversee facility modifications, upgrades, and capital projects, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule.
• Conduct integrity assessments and risk analyses for production equipment and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with operations, safety, and environmental teams to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in facilities engineering, with a strong focus on production operations in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., API, ASME).
• Experience with P&IDs, equipment specifications, and maintenance management systems.
• Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
