Placements24 seeks a dedicated Facilities Engineer to oversee the design, installation, operation and maintenance of oil and gas production facilities in Stellenbosch. You will lead maintenance planning, project execution and troubleshooting to ensure safety, reliability and efficiency of surface facilities and storage systems.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in facilities engineering in oil & gas, plus strong knowledge of

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Facilities Engineer to manage and optimize the operational integrity of their oil and gas production facilities in the Stellenbosch area. This role is essential for ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of all surface facilities, including processing plants, pipelines, and storage systems. You will be involved in maintenance planning, project execution, and troubleshooting to uphold the highest standards of operational performance and environmental compliance within the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of production facilities.
• Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
• Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments for facility modifications and projects.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions to ensure uptime and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities engineering within the oil and gas sector.
