Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Facilities Cleaning Coordinator to oversee cleaning operations at properties in Port Elizabeth. This hybrid role combines on-site coordination with administrative duties to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

The role requires experience in facilities management or supervision of cleaning teams, knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities management or a supervisory cleaning role.
• Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and janitorial best practices.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and control costs for cleaning supplies and services.
• Proficiency in using CMMS or similar software.
• Commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily cleaning activities across multiple facilities, ensuring all areas are maintained to a high standard.
• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of cleaning staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to meet facility needs and regulatory requirements.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed and ensuring proper storage.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess cleaning quality, identify maintenance needs, and ensure safety compliance.
