Job summary

Village n Life is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead the F&B operation at The Bay Hotel, Camps Bay. You will oversee restaurant and bar services, monitor costs, ensure consistent guest satisfaction, and enforce SOPs across departments.

You will guide service teams, manage payroll and budgets, and run events in collaboration with the Events Manager, while maintaining strong relationships with guests and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Grade 12, with hotel school or accommodation-management training beneficial.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role within a 4/5-star environment.
• Strong knowledge of F&B operations and hospitality service standards.
• Confident working knowledge of MS Office and Opera.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full F&B operation at The Bay Hotel with focus on service standards, cost control and guest satisfaction.
• Guide service teams and maintain operational systems across restaurant and bar.
• Oversee dining-room setup, FOH/BKH coordination and reservations.
• Manage budgets, payroll, and financial reporting for the department.
• Run special events with the Events Manager and ensure SOP adherence.
• Maintain staff training records and ensure disciplinary processes are fair.
• Sign off on stock takes, beverage counts and Micros reports.
