Job summary

Hire Resolve is seeking experienced External Sales Representatives for a leading industrial equipment and tooling supplier in Secunda. The role focuses on growing customer relationships, driving equipment sales and rentals, and providing technical support to clients.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in welding, boiler-making, or related engineering, plus 3–4 years of technical sales experience in industrial equipment or tooling.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate is required.
• Trade qualification in welding or boilermaking or similar.
• 3–4 years of stable technical sales experience in industrial sectors.
• Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s licence.
• Excellent CRM and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong planning and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and rentals of industrial equipment and tooling.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers.
• Provide technical advice, product information and solutions.
• Visit customers on-site, prepare quotations and follow up.
• Arrange demonstrations and training as needed.
• Meet monthly sales and gross profit targets.
• Plan weekly customer visit schedules.
• Generate new business via cold calling and leads.
• Manage sales administration, including invoicing and back orders.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental policies.

A leading industrial equipment and tooling supplier, specialising in welding solutions and equipment rentals, is seeking experienced External Sales Representatives to join their teams in Secunda.

The ideal candidates will have a strong technical background in welding, boiler-making, or a related engineering field, combined with proven sales experience within the industrial, engineering, or equipment sector. This permanent, full-time external sales role focuses on growing customer relationships, driving equipment sales and rentals, and providing technical support to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales and rentals of a comprehensive range of industrial equipment and tooling.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Provide technical advice, product information, and solutions to clients.
• Conduct customer site visits, prepare quotations, and follow up on opportunities.
• Arrange and assist with product demonstrations (training provided).
• Achieve monthly sales and gross profit targets.
• Plan and manage weekly customer visit schedules.
• Generate new business through cold calling and lead generation.
• Manage sales administration, including invoicing and back orders.
• Ensure compliance with company Safety, Health, and Environmental policies.

Requirements

• Matric certificate.
• Relevant trade qualification (Welder Trade Test, Boilermaker Trade Test, or similar)
• Minimum 3–4 years’ stable experience in technical sales, preferably within welding, engineering, industrial equipment, or tooling.
• Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence (Code 08 or equivalent).
• Own cellphone.
• Excellent customer relationship management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong planning, organisational, and time management abilities.
