Job summary

Chainlink Recruitment is seeking a motivated Sales Representative to develop new business and manage customer relationships across Durban and surrounding industrial areas, supplying welding, industrial equipment, abrasive and rental solutions to contractors.

The ideal candidate has strong B2B sales experience, excellent communication, product knowledge in industrial/welding sectors, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• B2B sales experience in industrial or welding environments.
• Strong product knowledge of welding, industrial, safety, abrasives and rental products.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Customer service orientation and problem-solving mindset.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
• Motivated, energetic, and committed to achieving monthly sales targets.

Responsibilities

• New Business Development — Identify and develop new sales opportunities and customer accounts.
• Client Relationship Management — Maintain strong relationships with existing industrial and contractor clients.
• Product Promotion — Promote and sell welding, industrial, safety, abrasive, consumable, and rental products.
• Customer Visits — Conduct site visits, understand customer requirements, and provide suitable solutions.
• Quotations & Follow‑Ups — Prepare quotations, follow up on leads, and achieve monthly sales targets.
• Market Monitoring — Monitor market activity and identify opportunities for business growth.
• Internal Coordination — Work closely with internal sales, service, and operations teams to ensure reliable customer service.
• Pipeline Management — Maintain accurate customer and sales pipeline records.
