Professional Resources Partners Pty Ltd in Durban is looking for an External Sales Representative in the Welding industry. This role involves identifying sales opportunities, conducting client visits, and building strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in the Welding and PPE sector, is self-motivated, and can manage their time effectively. A valid driver’s license is required as extensive travel is involved. A competitive salary with benefits and commissions is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an external sales representative in the Welding and PPE industry.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel extensively.
• 3-5 years’ experience in the Welding retail market with product knowledge is essential.

Overview

Job Title: External Sales - Welding

Salary: R30 000 - 37 000 CT C inclusive of car allowance. Company car option available plus commission

External Sales Representative to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue sales opportunities in assigned areas.
• Conduct regular client visits to present products/services and provide solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Provide accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback.
• Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events. Which will require you to work over week ends.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., customer service, marketing) to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and market developments.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the Welding and PPE industry as an external sales representative or comparable sales role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office and Pastel Sage.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 – 5 years’ Experience in the Welding retail market and have product knowledge of the following welding processes. MMA, MIG, TIG, PLASMA and GAS CUTTING & WELDING is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to close sales and meet performance goals.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills
