Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Head Chef to lead culinary operations for a premier corporate catering service in Klerksdorp. You will drive menu development, ensure food quality, and manage a high-performing kitchen team for boardroom lunches, seminars and corporate events.

Qualifications

7+ years progressively responsible cooking experience
3+ years in Head Chef or Sous Chef role in catering/high-volume settings
Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all kitchen operations, including staff supervision and scheduling
Develop innovative menus tailored to corporate events and dietary needs
Ensure top-tier food quality, presentation and consistency
Oversee procurement, inventory management and cost control
Enforce strict health, safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen
Collaborate with sales/events teams to design unique culinary offerings
Manage kitchen budgets and minimize waste
Conduct regular quality checks and taste panels
Stay updated on culinary trends and translate them into menus
Maintain a positive, productive kitchen environment
