Placements24 seeks a creative Head Chef to lead the culinary operations of a boutique event venue in Klerksdorp, North West. You will design and execute bespoke menus for weddings, corporate events, and private functions, balancing innovation with flawless service.

With 5–7 years in senior kitchen leadership, you’ll manage menu costing, staff training, and inventory while maintaining exceptional food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Formal culinary qualification or equivalent extensive experience.
• 5-7 years of Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef experience in a similar venue or high-end catering.
• Proven ability in menu development, costing, and inventory management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Creative flair and passion for high-quality cuisine.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation for all events.
• Develop creative, seasonal menus that cater to a variety of tastes and dietary needs.
• Manage kitchen staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
• Control food costs, manage inventory, and procure ingredients efficiently.
