Placements24 is seeking an innovative and experienced Head Chef to lead a busy Benoni corporate catering kitchen. You will be responsible for culinary operations, menu creation, kitchen management and team leadership, setting high standards for food quality and presentation across corporate clients.

The role requires strong leadership, a creative culinary approach and a commitment to hygiene and efficiency in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

Head Chef experience in high-volume catering environments is required.
Exceptional culinary skills and a passion for food innovation.
Strong leadership, communication and team management abilities.
In-depth knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen management best practices.
Ability to manage budgets, control costs and optimize kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high morale.
Design creative, seasonal, and cost-effective menus for corporate events and daily services.
Oversee all food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistent quality and adherence to recipes.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies, controlling stock levels, and minimizing waste.
Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to meet client expectations and specific menu requests.
