Placements24 is seeking a diligent Catering Assistant Supervisor to support the management team in Centurion. This role oversees catering staff during events, ensures service standards are met, and contributes to smooth day-to-day operations of our catering services.

The ideal candidate will have prior supervisory experience in catering or hospitality, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to food safety and high hygiene standards under pressure.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in catering or hospitality is essential.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills to guide and manage a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good understanding of catering operations, food safety, and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of catering staff during events, ensuring efficient service delivery and adherence to standards.
• Assist in training new staff members on service protocols, hygiene standards, and client interaction.
• Oversee the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring all catering equipment and requirements are met.
• Monitor food and beverage service, ensuring quality, presentation, and timely delivery.
• Handle minor client issues and feedback during events, escalating as necessary to the Catering Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, storage, and equipment.
