Placements24 is seeking an organized and service-oriented Event Catering Supervisor to join their Centurion team. You will oversee setup, service, and breakdown, ensuring client satisfaction through impeccable service delivery and effective team coordination during events.

In this role you will work closely with the Catering Manager to meet operational standards with professionalism and efficiency, and you will manage evenings, weekends, and holiday event schedules in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role within catering or hospitality.
• Strong understanding of event operations and service protocols.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure in a dynamic event environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules in Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate on-site catering staff during events to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Manage event setup, including food and beverage stations, table settings, and decor, according to client requirements.
• Oversee the service of food and beverages, ensuring quality, presentation, and adherence to service standards.
• Address and resolve any client or guest issues promptly and professionally during events.
• Conduct post-event cleanup and breakdown, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly managed.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management to ensure all event details are accurately relayed and executed.
