Placements24 is seeking a diligent Catering Operations Supervisor to oversee daily catering activities in Upington. You will supervise staff, manage event setups, ensure service quality and uphold high hygiene and safety standards to deliver exceptional events and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on operations experience, and the ability to coordinate with clients and event teams. A dynamic work environment and opportunities for bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• Experience as Catering Supervisor, Team Leader or similar operational role.
• Strong knowledge of catering operations, setup and breakdown.
• Excellent leadership and people-management skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in food service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise catering staff during event setup, service and breakdown.
• Ensure catering equipment is clean, maintained and properly set up.
• Monitor food and beverage service for quality, presentation and timelines.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and food hygiene regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, stock rotation and waste control.
• Coordinate with clients and event coordinators on-site to address needs.
