Placements24 is seeking an enthusiastic Catering Supervisor to manage daily operations at a premier venue in Polokwane. You will lead a team of catering staff, ensure high service standards, and act as the on-site face of our catering service during events.

The ideal candidate has supervisory hospitality experience, deep knowledge of event service and F&B operations, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or catering industry.
• Strong understanding of event service standards and food and beverage operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by event schedules in Polokwane.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the setup, service, and breakdown of catering for events.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of catering staff, ensuring adherence to service standards and protocols.
• Liaise with clients on-site to ensure their needs are met and address any immediate requests or concerns.
• Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation, ensuring it meets company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas and equipment.
• Conduct pre-event briefings with staff to ensure clear communication of roles and responsibilities.
