Job summary

Newrest is seeking a hands-on operational leader to manage our inflight equipment department in Johannesburg. The role ensures effective control, storage, packing, availability and inventory management of airline equipment, catering trolleys, bar supplies and service items for daily flight operations.

Responsibilities include managing warehouse operations, accurate packing per airline specs, coordinating inventory counts, reporting KPIs, and maintaining equipment availability to support daily

Responsibilities

• Manage all equipment warehouse operations.
• Ensure accurate packing of equipment and bar trolleys according to airline specifications.
• Maintain inventory levels and equipment availability to support daily flight schedules.
• Oversee stock counts, cycle counts and accurate monthly inventories.
• Monitor equipment losses, damages and stock discrepancies.
• Manage airline-owned inventory and equipment floats.
• Prepare inventory reports, KPI reports and corrective action plans.
• Ensure that the daily Box times are met as per the required box times.
• Ensure that all equipment is packed as per GLP’s including dead heads.
• Ensure that the equipment carts are packed according to clients’ Equipment loading plan (ELP) and issued to subordinates daily.
• Check and sign the GLP’s.
• Ensure that the kitting processes are followed.
• Effective handling of client objections and complaints.
• Ensure that the rosters are done accurately and timeously.
• Full Management of the Equipment team inclusive of bar packing and warehouse management.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR HANDS-ONOPERATIONAL LEADER TO MANAGE OUR INFLIGHT EQUIPMENT DEPARTMENT. THIS ROLE ISRESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING EFFECTIVE CONTROL, STORAGE, PACKING, AVAILABILITY, ANDINVENTORY MANAGEMENT OF ALL AIRLINE EQUIPMENT, CATERING TROLLEYS, BAR SUPPLIES,AND SERVICE ITEMS REQUIRED FOR DAILY FLIGHT OPERATIONS.

RESPONSIBILITIES: You will beresponsible for:

• Manage all equipment warehouse operations.
• Ensure accurate packing of equipment and bar trolleysaccording to airline specifications.

• Investigate customer quality issues, develop and implementcorrective actions supported by a CAR analysis.
• Ensure that the rosters are done accurately and timeously.
• Full Management of the Equipment team inclusive of barpacking and warehouse management.
