Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Specialist Recruitment Consultant focused on engineering to partner with leading engineering and manufacturing firms in Paarl and the Western Cape. You will manage the full lifecycle from client brief to candidate placement, using targeted sourcing and rigorous technical interviews to deliver top talent.

You will build trusted relationships, understand sector needs, and work in a hybrid model combining in-office collaboration with remote engagement to drive successful

Qualifications

• Proven experience in recruitment with a focus on engineering professionals.
• Strong understanding of various engineering disciplines and skill sets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with recruitment software and sourcing tools.
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple vacancies in a Hybrid environment.
• Familiarity with the Western Cape engineering market is advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full recruitment lifecycle from client consultation to candidate placement.
• Develop and implement targeted sourcing strategies for engineering talent.
• Conduct detailed technical interviews and assess candidate qualifications.
• Build and maintain client relationships in engineering and manufacturing sectors.
• Provide market intelligence and recruitment insights to clients.
• Source candidates via networks, events and specialized platforms.
• Ensure high-quality candidate experience and smooth service delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent service.
• Maintain accurate records and pipelines in the recruitment system.
