Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Specialist Recruitment Consultant focused on engineering to source and place highly skilled professionals across mechanical, electrical, civil, and chemical engineering. The role is based in Paarl with hybrid flexibility to engage with clients in the broader Western Cape.

You will manage full lifecycle recruitment, implement targeted sourcing strategies, and conduct detailed technical interviews to assess qualifications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in recruitment, with a demonstrated specialization in placing engineering professionals.
• Strong understanding of various engineering disciplines and the associated skill sets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport and credibility with technical candidates and hiring managers.
• Experience with recruitment software and sourcing tools.
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively in a Hybrid environment.
• Familiarity with the Western Cape engineering market is a significant advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for engineering roles, from initial client consultation to candidate placement.
• Develop and implement targeted sourcing strategies to attract specialized engineering talent.
• Conduct detailed technical interviews and assessments to evaluate candidate qualifications and experience.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing market intelligence and recruitment insights.
• Source candidates through professional networks, industry events, and specialized job platforms.
• Ensure a high-quality candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records and manage candidate pipelines within the recruitment system.
