Job summary

HENSOLDT South Africa is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead development and execution of technical sales strategies across defence, aerospace, and technology sectors. You will drive revenue growth, build strategic client relationships, and deliver customer-focused solutions aligned with the business plan.

The role requires a track record in sales or project delivery, preferably 5–7 years, with a technical diploma in electronics (degree preferred).

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience (preferably 7) in sales or project delivery within defense, aerospace, or technology sectors.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and/or delivery targets.
• Minimum Technical Diploma in Electronics; preferably a Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar qualification.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and partners.
• Oversee the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals; develop persuasive presentations and proposals.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing teams to align sales with product offerings; work with Supply Chain to ensure delivery schedules.
• Analyse market trends and customer needs to support strategic decisions and revenue growth.
• Identify and partner with key strategic partners to facilitate market access and route-to-market strategies.
• Report on risks, opportunities, and overall sales campaign performance.
