Job summary

Dante Personnel Recruitment (Pty) Ltd in Robertson is seeking a Payroll and Employee Benefits Associate to provide comprehensive support to the Payroll Department and manage the complete payroll process from start to finish.

The role requires strong numerical aptitude, in-depth knowledge of SA tax, payroll legislation, and end-to-end payroll administration. You will handle statutory submissions, COIDA and UIF, and deliver accurate payroll records with confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical and numerical aptitude.
• Knowledge of South African Income Tax, employee benefits, and payroll legislation.
• Relevant payroll, taxation, or legislative courses or qualifications advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and tax laws.
• Experience with end-to-end payroll administration.
• Sound understanding of BCEA, UIF, COIDA, PAYE, SARS payroll requirements.
• Experience submitting EMP201, EMP501, UIF declarations, COIDA Return of Earnings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Payroll software (LabourNet Payroll advantageous), Time & Attendance software, SARS eFiling.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Process complete monthly payrolls accurately from start to finish.
• Capture and process payroll-related information (Time & attendance, Overtime, Commissions, Allowances, ad hoc adjustments).
• Ensure accurate payroll calculations and reconciliations.
• Manage employee leave types per policies and legislation.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records.
• Prepare and submit EMP201 returns and payments to SARS.
• Submit EMP501 reconciliations and generate IRP5/IT3(a) certificates.
• Process UIF declarations and submissions via uFiling.
• Prepare tax directives and assist with compliance with SARS and DELO.
