Job summary

Compitant Candidates in Pretoria seeks a seasoned vehicle sales professional to manage the full sales process from first contact to delivery. You must consistently sell 15 or more units monthly and build a loyal customer base with repeat and referral business.

Essentially, you will need extensive motor vehicle sales experience (10+ years), strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with CRM/DMS platforms. Weekend work is required due to dealership hours.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in motor vehicle sales, 10+ years.
• Consistent 15+ vehicles sold per month on average.
• Ability to provide commission statements (last 6–12 months).
• Established loyal client base to bring to new employer.
• Knowledge of SA passenger vehicle and bakkie market, pricing, trade-ins, finance, dealers.
• Valid SA driver’s licence (Code B/EB) with clean record.
• Strong negotiation, closing and relationship-building skills.
• CRM / Dealer Management System proficiency.
• Willingness to work weekends/public holidays due to dealer hours.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed a monthly target of at least 15 vehicle units (cars and bakkies).
• Generate and follow up on leads: walk-ins, phone and online enquiries, referrals, self-prospecting.
• Conduct needs analyses, product presentations and test drives.
• Negotiate prices and trade-ins; close deals profitably.
• Collaborate with Finance & Insurance to secure vehicle finance and sell warranties, service plans, insurance.
• Value trade-ins with the used-vehicle manager.
• Ensure all sales documentation complies with relevant laws.
• Manage delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth handover.
• Keep CRM / DMS up to date with leads and sales.
• Maintain after-sales contact to build repeat/referral business.
• Stay current on product knowledge, pricing, and competition.
