Job summary

EnableSA is seeking an Electrician / Maintenance Technician to join the Port Elizabeth/Coega team. You will perform routine maintenance and fault finding on electrical equipment and machinery at our facilities.

The role requires 1–3 years' industrial maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical diagrams, and a valid driver's license. Based in Port Elizabeth/Uitenhage, you will help install new equipment and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in an industrial or maintenance environment.
• Sound knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and fault-finding techniques.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and technical drawings.
• Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport.
• Must be based in the Port Elizabeth / Uitenhage area.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and preventative servicing on electrical equipment and machinery.
• Assist with troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and repairs of electrical systems.
• Maintain and repair electrical components including panels, motors, wiring, and control systems.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Provide basic mechanical assistance when required.
• Perform inspections to identify potential faults, hazards, or maintenance needs.
• Accurately complete maintenance records, job cards, and reports.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
