Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Electronics Maintenance Technician to join our Port Elizabeth operations. The role focuses on upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of sophisticated electronic systems to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

You will work hands-on with diagnostic tools, read schematics, and collaborate with engineering to implement system upgrades in a demanding industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electronics Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, components, and diagnostic techniques.
• Proficiency with electronic testing equipment and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and technical diagrams.
• Experience working with industrial control systems or similar complex electronic systems is highly desirable.
• A relevant technical qualification or certification in electronics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and calibration of electronic control systems and equipment.
• Diagnose electronic faults using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
• Repair or replace faulty electronic components, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Install and commission new electronic equipment and systems as required.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repair activities, and parts used.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement system upgrades and improvements.
