• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical services engineering.
• Knowledge of South African electrical standards and building codes.
• Experience managing contractors and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical design drawings and specifications for new constructions and refurbishments.
• Ensure compliance of all electrical installations with the latest SANS 10142 and other relevant building regulations.
• Oversee electrical contractors during installation phases, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines.
• Manage the electrical maintenance program for existing properties, including planned maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess the condition of electrical installations and identify potential hazards or deficiencies.
• Investigate electrical faults and provide timely solutions to minimize disruption to building occupants.
• Specify and procure electrical equipment and materials as required.
• Liaise with tenants, facility managers, and other stakeholders on electrical-related matters.
• Develop and manage budgets for electrical maintenance and minor works projects.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, maintenance activities, and compliance documentation.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Solid understanding of electrical power distribution, lighting design, emergency power systems (generators, UPS), and fire alarm systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and building plans.
• Knowledge of relevant South African electrical standards and building codes.
• Experience managing contractors and project coordination.
• Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Vereeniging, Gauteng and surrounding areas.
• Professional registration (e.g., Pr. Eng, TechniEng) is advantageous.
