The candidate will ensure safe, efficient installations meeting standards, while contributing to sustainable built environments in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in building services electrical design.
• Proficiency in CAD software for electrical drafting.
• Good understanding of building codes, standards (e.g., SANS 10142), and safety regulations.
• Experience with lighting design software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for buildings (lighting, power, fire alarm).
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications and BOQ.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural and mechanical plans.
• Oversee site inspections during installation for quality and compliance.
• Perform electrical load calculations and ensure energy efficiency.

Operating in a hybrid model, this position allows for a blend of office-based design work and on-site project oversight. Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for new buildings and refurbishments, including lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm systems.
