Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to focus on Building Services in Klerksdorp, South Africa. You will design and specify electrical systems for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings, ensuring safety and energy efficiency.

Responsibilities include creating drawings in AutoCAD, performing load calculations, sizing systems, and coordinating with architects and other disciplines to deliver integrated designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical building services design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other electrical design software.
• Solid understanding of electrical building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for buildings, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and lightning protection.
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software.
• Conduct load calculations, circuit designs, and system sizing for electrical installations.
• Ensure compliance with National Building Regulations, SANS codes, and other relevant standards.
• Coordinate electrical designs with other building services disciplines (mechanical, plumbing, structural).
