Sharon Macamo in Gauteng, Johannesburg, seeks an Electrical Engineer for industrial electrical systems in Germiston. You will design, review and verify low-voltage systems, control panels and switchgear, ensuring standards compliance and overseeing testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical design of low-voltage switchgear, control panels or industrial electrical systems.
• Experience with electrical design calculations, including cable sizing, short-circuit calculations and protection coordination.
• Working knowledge of IEC 61439, IEC 60204-1 and SANS 10142-1; UL 508A advantageous.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical design software.
• Registration as an Installation Electrician advantageous.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites.

Requirements

• National Diploma, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, BTech or BEngTech in Electrical Engineering (NQF Level 6 or 7)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical design of low-voltage switchgear, control panels or industrial electrical systems
• Experience with electrical design calculations, including cable sizing, short-circuit calculations and protection coordination
• Working knowledge of IEC 61439, IEC 60204-1 and SANS 10142-1; UL 508A advantageous
