Job summary

Together Staffing group seeks an Electrical Engineer to join a manufacturing facility in Gauteng, focusing on electrical systems, plant equipment, and automation. You will design, develop, and maintain systems while driving continuous improvement and adhering to safety standards.

The role requires a BTech in Electrical Engineering with strong project management and troubleshooting skills, with ECSA registration or eligibility considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• Matric is required with a tertiary engineering qualification.
• BTech Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Registration with ECSA or eligibility will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and plant equipment.
• Lead electrical engineering projects including equipment installations and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Support preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, safety standards and company procedures.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve plant performance.
• Develop technical documentation, electrical drawings, and project reports.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency and reliability.

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our client's manufacturing facility in Gauteng. Our client is seeking an experienced engineer with experience in industrial electrical systems, automation, and continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and plant equipment
• Lead electrical engineering projects, including equipment installations and upgrades
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults to minimise production downtime
• Support preventative and predictive maintenance programmes
• Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, safety standards, and company procedures
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve plant performance
• Develop technical documentation, electrical drawings, and project reports
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency and reliability

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• BTech Electrical Engineering
• Registration with ECSA or eligibility for registration will be advantageous
• Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, motors, drives, PLCs, and industrial automation
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
