Job summary

MPRTC Recruitment seeks an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join our clients' team. The ideal candidate is a qualified tradesperson with a Red Seal, SAQCC Gas Registration, a valid Code B licence, and extensive experience in commercial and industrial refrigeration, including commissioning, servicing and fault-finding.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric


• Qualified Refrigeration Mechanic with a Red Seal Trade Test


• Valid SAQCC Gas Registration


• Valid Code B driver’s licence


• 5–10 years’ experience in commercial and industrial refrigeration


• Proven experience in refrigeration system commissioning, servicing and fault-finding


• CO² (R744) trans‑critical refrigeration experience advantageous


• Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills


• Experience with refrigeration controllers and Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)


• Ability to interpret refrigeration piping diagrams, P&IDs and electrical drawings


• Microsoft Office proficiency


• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, work overtime, standby and emergency callouts


• Valid passport and willingness to obtain one if required
