Papenfus Retail Consultants CC is seeking a Frontline Cashier in Upington to provide efficient checkout service and accurate transaction handling. You will greet customers, scan items, process payments, and promote promotions while maintaining a friendly, professional image.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year cashier experience in retail, strong English and Afrikaans, and are able to work weekends and peak periods. You must be able to stand for long periods and reside locally.

Formación

• Must reside in Upington or within a reasonable commuting distance.
• Grade 12 / NQF 4 or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year cashier experience in retail.
• Able to operate POS systems, scanners and payment terminals.
• English and Afrikaans communication; another local language is a plus.
• Willing to work weekends, public holidays and peak periods.
• Eligible to work in South Africa.
• Physically able to stand for long periods.

Responsabilidades

• Greet customers and process purchases efficiently.
• Scan items, confirm prices, and ensure correct totals.
• Handle cash, cards, vouchers, and loyalty points.
• Pack purchases and assist bagging when required.
• Inform customers about promotions and loyalty programmes.
• Address queries or complaints with patience and refer to Supervisor.
