Job summary

Pay@, a leading payment service provider in Stellenbosch, seeks a Business Development Lead: eCommerce to drive the growth of its new online payments offering. You will identify, onboard and manage merchants, and build partnerships with platforms, agencies and referral partners.

The role requires 5–8 years in B2B sales within ecommerce, strong negotiation skills, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset. Fluency in business English is essential; willingness to travel and own transport are

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance, Marketing or a related field.
5–8 years of relevant business development and B2B sales experience in the eCommerce industry.
Fluent in business English; additional languages beneficial.

Responsibilities

Drive new business development and merchant acquisition for Pay@'s eCommerce offering.
Identify, source and onboard new eCommerce merchants across relevant industries.
Develop and manage a strong pipeline of prospective merchants and commercial opportunities.
Build relationships with key decision-makers, establishing Pay@ as a trusted payment solutions partner.
Identify and develop strategic partnerships with eCommerce platforms, agencies and referral partners.
Identify market opportunities and contribute to growth of Pay@'s eCommerce offering.
Oversee new merchant onboarding and integrations with internal technical teams.
Collaborate to ensure successful implementation of merchant solutions.
Monitor and report on business development opportunities, merchant acquisition and sales forecasts.
