Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced E-commerce Merchandising Manager for our online retailer client in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. You will optimize the online product catalog, improve the customer shopping experience, and drive sales through strategic presentation and promotions.

You will lead merchandising initiatives, manage product content, visuals, and promotional campaigns, and work closely with marketing and design teams to stay ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Merchandising, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
• Experience with CMS and PIM systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Solid understanding of e-commerce platforms and merchandising best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective e-commerce merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
• Manage online product catalog, including setup, categorization and attributes.
• Oversee visual merchandising to optimize conversion on product pages.
• Plan and execute promotional campaigns, sales events and offers.
• Analyze product performance data, trends and customer behavior to identify opportunities.
• Conduct market and competitor research to stay current with merchandising practices.
• Collaborate with marketing, buying and design teams on product strategy and presentation.
• Manage content including descriptions, images and videos, ensuring brand consistency.
• Utilize A/B testing to optimize product page layouts and CTAs.
