Placements24 is seeking an experienced E-commerce Data Analyst to join our remote team serving Port Elizabeth operations. You will collect and analyze large datasets on ecommerce performance, customer behavior, and market trends to inform marketing, sales and product decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within an e-commerce or digital marketing environment.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), or R.
• Experience with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
• Strong data visualization skills using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Excellent understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies.
• Ability to translate business questions into analytical frameworks and provide data-driven solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and presentation skills for conveying analytical insights.
• Experience working in a remote team environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and process data from various sources, including web analytics, sales platforms, CRM, and social media.
• Perform in-depth analysis of e-commerce website performance, user behavior, sales trends, and marketing campaign effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs such as conversion rates, customer lifetime value, AOV, and traffic sources.
• Identify patterns, trends, and insights from data to provide actionable recommendations for business improvement.
• Conduct A/B testing analysis to evaluate the impact of website changes and marketing initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
• Present complex data findings in a clear, concise, and visually compelling manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay current with industry best practices in data analytics, e-commerce, and data visualization techniques.
• Develop predictive models to forecast sales and customer behavior where applicable.
